La fender Telecaster De 72’ de Thom Yorke est noire. Habillée du logo apple, elle est déjà utilisée depuis longtemps, a priori 1995  (après le vol d’une partie du matériel du groupe en 1995) ; Vers 2003, elle a été « ré-habillée », puis en 2006, customisée et réparée par Plank, bricolée avec un manche de Stratocaster et un préampli actif par exemple. En studio, elle aurait été utilisée pour enregistrer Planet Telex, ou 2=2+=5 ; en live, on peut la voir vers 1995-1996 sur quelques prestations de Just ou Planet Telex, de 2+2=5, d’I Will, ou d’Arpeggi (vers 2006). Thom Yorke a cessé définitivement de l’utiliser en 2007.

Elle a été utilisée pour la première fois le 5 décembre 1995, au concert de la Luna à Bruxelles. On notera qu’elle était alors non customisée.

Très vite, elle va être habillée de 3 stickers :

– le logo Appel coloré

– un logo X-Girls (Qu’est ce que X-Girl ? Réponse : http://www.x-girl.jp/)

– un troisième petit autocollant (un hibou ?) en haut à gauche.

Vers 2003, le logo pomme est recouvert avec une bande bleue, et un petit autocollant panda « I Miss You » :

En 2006, Plank, le technicien du groupe, qui explique que c’est d’ailleurs sa guitare favorite, la soigne et la répare :

Parmi les autocollants, on reconnaîtra un petit nouveau, le “No Star Wars”, une cause pour laquelle Thom s’était engagé.

Le site The King Of Gear en fait cette description :

et avance qu’elle a été utilisée en studio pour l’enregistrement de Planet Telex (à vérifier), 2+2=5 et peut-être reckoner / en concert pour Just et The Bends (en 1996), My Iron Lung (à partir de 1996), et au début de l’année 2006 pour Weird Fishes.

Depuis 2006, Thom n’utilise plus la guitare car il lui préfère la 64 SG.
